Hello! This is my EPQ!

An EPQ, or Extended Project Qualification, is like a sort of extra qualification you can get where you either produce a 5000 word essay or an artefact with a shorter essay. It can be about anything you like. For mine, I decided to research the History of Electronic Music, and instead of just doing an essay, I made an album. The first track is a piece of Musique concrète, which was invented in 1948 by Pierre Schaeffer. The last track is a hyperpop track, A.G. Cook / 100 gecs style.

I tried to make a logical timeline for this album and not miss out on anything too big, although obviously I would have to cut some corners, otherwise the album would be like ten hours.

In case you're wondering, the actual artefact was a homemade CD. I did do an essay as well, and it was nearly 10000 words, remarkably. It took a fair bit of cutting down even to get it to that level.

This album was a nightmare and I ran into so many roadblocks, but otherwise, I'm happy enough with it. Hope you enjoy!
